Hello and welcome

I’m Janette, and the road that has led me to becoming an Independent Celebrant and creating Complete Ceremonies has been a varied and amazing one.

Working in a global organisation in event management for the first part of my career gave me a great opportunity to travel to wonderful places and meet the most incredible people. I always loved bringing people together, encouraging exchanges of ideas, and curating a great event experience.‍ ‍

Moving from this role and then managing a beautiful event space was a lovely way to continue a love of hospitality and helping people to create their special moments.

Working and volunteering also in the charity sector, I have been fortunate to support meaningful organisations that make an impact to everyday lives.

For many years, I had been thinking about becoming an independent celebrant to help people tell their own unique stories in the way they want them to be told and shared. I’m so, so glad that I took the plunge to train in this wonderful vocation, and that it became a reality. I love celebrating love and life, and it’s such a privilege to be able to help people share their stories.

Being an Independent Celebrant gives me the opportunity to bring stories to life, combined with my personal passion for writing. This enables me to craft the right words in the right way. Helping people to navigate the most difficult times, or sharing in the joy of a happy and exciting new chapter, is truly wonderful for me.

Oh, and I love nature, family, friends, being by the sea, cosy times with great coffee and sunny BBQ days…. The simple things in life bring me great joy.
